Sun Fire X6275 Blade Server

As compute nodes for the Sun Constellation system, Sun Blade X6275 server modules push the limits of performance, providing up to 9 TFLOPS of peak performance per fully populated Sun Blade 6048 chassis. As compute nodes for the Sun Blade 6000 Modular System, Sun Blade X6275 GbE server modules push the limits on compute density, providing up to 20 nodes per (10U) Sun Blade 6000 chassis.

Key Features

• Two quad-core Intel® Xeon® Processors 5500 Series per compute node, for a total of four processors per server module
• Up to 96GB of main memory (per compute node); Up to 192GB (total) per server module
• Two PCI Express 2.0 x8 interfaces per server module via passive midplane
• Supports Sun Flash Modules for storage acceleration and a reliable, low power boot device
• Two models to choose from:
     - Sun Blade X6275 IB supported in Sun Blade 6048 Modular Systems (On-board GbE and QDR InfiniBand)
     - Sun Blade X6275 GbE supported in Sun Blade 6000 and 6048 Modular Systems (On-board GbE)
