The SunFire X4600 M2 server has up to 8 AMD Opteron dual-core processors and up to 256GB of memory in just 4U.
Designed to accept the next generation of AMD quadcore cpu. Powerful, compact and versatile, this server runs Solaris, Linux, VMware and Windows. The X4600 is the ideal server for consolidation or virtualisation.
The X4600 M2 is the upgraded version of the award winning X4600 server, now, designed for AMD socket F Opteron cpu family . The new X4600 M2 has faster memory and HyperTransport speed of 8 GB/second in order to take full advantage of AMD's new Direct Connect Architecture.
