The Sun Ultra 20 M2 Workstation is based on the dual-core AMD Opteron Processor.  The AMD Opteron Processor protects your investment in current 32-bit applications, while allowing you to migrate to 64-bit applications.  This gives you a simplified migration path to position you for the future of 64-bit computing Designed to Benefit SW Developers:  The Sun Ultra 20 M2 Workstation is pre-loaded with Sun Development Tools and Solaris 10.  Developers can create Java and Solaris applications right out of the box.

Unlike other 32-bit workstations using repurposed PC technology, Sun has architected the Sun Ultra 20 M2 Workstation to solve complex technical problems by delivering simultaneous 32-bit and 64-bit computing with outstanding performance.  Accelerate your product development time with features such as large memory capacity, low-latency, high-bandwidth memory subsystem with error correction and expandable high-performance storage options.  Additionally, the Sun Ultra 20 M2 Workstation supports PCI-Express, the best input/output implementation in a decade.  Achieve the next level of creativity with OpenGL high-performance graphics supporting multiple displays and visualization software.
