The Sun SPARC Enterprise T5240 server is the fastest 2-socket server available, with up to 5 times the performance in less than half the space and 2.5 times better performance per watt than comparable x86 systems.
With the 3rd generation of CoolThreads technology it is now possible to deploy the highest compute density ever offered in a two rack unit (2RU)
The Sun SPARC Enterprise T5240 is the same as the T5140 but has more expansion slots and can have 16 disks instead of 4.
