Sun SPARC Enterprise M5000
M5000 is a midrange server with up to 8 SPARC64 VI dual core sockets thus having up to 16 cores, 256GB of memory in 10U enclosure with 10 I/O slots and up to 50 PCIe or PCI-X slots with optional External I/O Expansion Unit with all the Mainframe RAS capabilities of the M4000 and twice the System Bus bandwidth (Memory) 64GB/s PEAK, 25.2 GB/s STREAM, with System Bus bandwidth (IO) 16GB/s PEAK, with up to four Dynamic Domains.
The SPARC64 VI processors for the M4000 and M5000 are SPARC V9 Architecture. The clock speeds at launch are 2.15GHz with 5MB on-chip cache
