Sun Storedge DAT 72 Tape Drive
The Sun StorageTek DAT 72 tape drive provides a balance of dependable backup capacity and performance for mainstream, value-conscious customers needing local backup. It offers the proven reliability and low cost of ownership of DDS/DAT backup - combined with the flexibility and ease of use that USB or SCSI connectivity can provide.
It has a native capacity of 36 GB per cartridge and a native throughput of 3 MBytes/sec. The Sun StorageTek DAT 72 tape drive comes in either a rackmount or desktop format, or as an internal option for many Sun servers. The rackmount configuration comes standard with 1 drive in a 1U form factor, with the option of adding a second drive.
