Sun Blade 8000 Modular Server
The Sun Blade 8000 Modular System houses up to twenty Sun Blade x8400 Server modules in a single rack, providing twice the processing power of normal rackmount options. This server module is highly competitive against other blade technologies and offers up to twenty times the I/O capacity, smaller footprint and a 62% power and cooling cost saving.
The Sun Blade 8000 modular system offers four dual-core Opteron 800 , 875 and 885 series processors, provides up to 64GB of RAM (16GB per socket), and is compatible with major operating system environments; Solaris 10 (64-bit), Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0, (32-bit/64-bit), Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 (64-bit), SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (64-bit) and Windows Server 2003, Standard/Enterprise Edition (32-bit/64-bit).
