The Brocade SilkWorm 48000 director provides state-of-the-art 4 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel performance and scalability for large SANs with the most demanding requirements for high availability—with proven fabric intelligence and investment protection. Organizations gain performance and scalability with up to 256 ports in a single domain and more powerful control processors that provide faster fabric services. Its design includes high-availability features to support “five-nines” operation, and includes the lowest TCO per port for power and cooling. The SilkWorm 48000 protects investments with full compatibility across with the entire SilkWorm product line, multiprotocol capabilities, and support for next-generation application processing blades.
