McData Eclipse 1620 San Router

A capable and affordable multi-protocol storage switch, the McDATA Eclipse 1620 SAN Router connects to IP backbones, Fibre Channel fabrics and a wide variety of end system. The Eclipse 1620 supports standard protocols such as iSCSI, iFCP and E_Port and can be used concurrently for business continuance/disaster recovery plans, storage consolidation, remote tape vaulting, content distribution and iSCSI access to Fibre Channel storage.

McData Eclipse 1620 SAN Router with 2 FC and 2 GE ports. Supports iSCSI to FC conversion. Long distance iFCP data transmission is not supported in this base configuration. A total of 12 iSCSI initiators may be connected to the bridge. The FC ports support 1Gb data rates. The product includes the 1U high router with two non-removable power supplies, US power cord, a RS-242 console cable, SANvergence Manager Standard software, rail kit, and installation at the customer site.
