The i570 offers a completely scalable, upgradeable hardware architecture that helps support balanced growth from 2/4-way model 570 all the way to an 8/16-way or a 32/64-way via upgrade to the model 595. Coupled with advanced virtualization technologies, i5 systems run multiple operating systems and application environments simultaneously—including IBM i5/OS®, Linux®, IBM AIX 5L™, Microsoft® Windows®1, Java™, WebSphere® and Lotus® Domino® software. With the capacity to support up to ten dynamic logical partitions (LPARs) per processor, the System i5 family can help you simplify your IT environment by allowing you to deploy new applications, consolidate operations, and meet service level agreements.
