The VLS12000 EVA Gateway is a multi-node gateway solution for the EVA that offers industry-leading performance and scales in performance and capacity to 4800 MB/sec and 1080 TB of useable storage with 2:1 hardware compression.

Accelerated deduplication delivers fast backup performance as the deduplication occurs after the backup completes. Low bandwidth replication enables fast, low-cost disaster recovery between remote sites. The VLS12000 EVA Gateway integrates seamlessly into existing backup applications and processes; as storage needs grow it matches the environment by scaling both in capacity and performance. It is a highly available solution using HP ProLiant servers with redundant subsystems.

• The data deduplication capacity LTU will be licensed by the number of EVA LUNS presented to the VLS. One license per LUN (T9709A) is required.
